Scouting - Join the Adventure

Scouting is an international youth organization, based on values and the principals of 'learning by doing' set in an outdoor environment. Scouting is open to boys and girls ages 5-26. Scouting uses recreational activities to help young people develop leadership and teamwork skills, build confidence and self-esteem, and learn how to take responsibility for themselves. There are 35 million Scouts in 216 countries around the world. Over half a billion people have made the Scout Promise since the Movement was founded in 1907.

Scouting in Canada is governed by a national body (Scouts Canada) and administered by regional councils and Area committees. The Scouting program is delivered by independent groups of dedicated volunteers.

The scouting program is divided into five sections based on age; 5-7 Beavers, 8-10 Cubs, 11-14 Scouts, 15-17 Venturers and 18-26 Rovers.
