4th Westdale Troop went to Canadian Scout Jamboree 2013 (CJ'13) held in Sylvan Lake, Alberta from July 6 to 13th.
CJ'13 brought 5000 youth, leaders and volunteers from across the country and from around the world together for the ultimate Scouting experience. Scouts shared friendships and adventures while experiencing personal development that only a jamboree experience can bring. This was once in a lifetime opportunity for our Scouts.
Thank You to all that made this possible.
We left from union station aboard the Via Train. The three day journey took us through northern Ontario and the Parries. We stopped at Winnipeg and Saskatoon, Arriving in Edmonton 1 day before the Jamboree. We visited the Rail museum and the Forks in Winnipeg, West Edmonton Mall, the Reynalds Museum. The Jamboree was great fun for 7 days. Then we spent 1 day at Drummheller visiting the Tyrell dinosaur museum. Finally flying back to Toronto out of Edmonton.
